Das Lehrbuch bringt absichtlich mehr, als im Unterricht eben zu bewältigen ist, damit es dem Schüler auch für seine spätere Tätigkeit in der Praxis von Nutzen sein kann. Der Lehrstoff ist so aufgebaut, daß der Schüler die Entstehung der wichtigsten technischen Baustoffe kennen lernt. -.Aber gleichzeitig soll auch sein Urteil für das Erkennen ihrer unvermeidlichen Eigenschaften geschärft werden, die ihren Ursprung in den Herstellungsmethoden haben.
